Funny, just realized that and block local pics when you code a html page locally on your machine.

Do I really have to do this on a remote machine to be able to check the result? ๐Ÿ˜€

Might be for security reasons, yes, but difficult to understand that browsers cripple themselves that way.

@Billie I can't think of a valid reason either right now.

Do you mean just plain <img> tags with a src in the same folder, or something more advanced? I just checked, and it works as expected on Firefox (v60.0.2, 64-bit, on Ubuntu).

@Pabo
Yes, simple <img src="image.png"/> on Ubuntu 17.04. Will check browser version later. Currently not at my machine.

@Pabo OK. It was the user (=me). ๐Ÿค’ Messed up folders. Was editing the wrong index.html file.

Anyway, thanks for checking

@Billie Ah, those pesky little mistakes, they tend to hide in plain sight far too often.

I've been hearing horror stories of webdevs about Javascript evolving too fast to keep up, and was worried that this might have affected HTML as well. Glad to see that the basics are still the same.
