@krille Maybe now you can unpin the "Fluffychat v0.32 is now released!" toot ;P

So, I'm curious. This release lists a feature "Move video call button to menu" and says that in the future it would be good to implement "support for native video calls [using] the Matrix Dart SDK". So are there video calls now or not? If so, how are "native video calls" different from "video calls"? How well do video calls compare to something like Skype/Whatsapp? Trying to gauge family-readiness, here...

@Blort The current "video calls" just generate a Jitsi invite link and opens the jitsi app. It is a bad solution but we needed any kind of this feature to make emoji verification possible

@krille Ok, and an eventual "native" video call would presumably link the two ends by WebRTC or something similar, I assume...?

@Blort Yes it will use webrtc directly in the app and btw it will be compatible with Elements calls ;-)

@krille Sweet! Looking forward to it, whenever it happens. Nice work on the 1.0 release as well by the way. The visual design looks really nice (which is saying something from me as I normally hate speech bubble chat designs). It's really come a long way. Can't wait to try it out on my . <3
