@lioh Yes, this way *BSD loses it's most famous desktop variant.

OTOH it is kind of understandable if you read their reasons for the decision.

@Haydar I like NomandBSD for a portable (yet installable) FreeBSD deskop: nomadbsd.org - it's quite vanilla with some good preconfigurations for desktop usage. I never was a big fan of TrueOS.
