Some period tracking apps will share your data. Stay safe, use one from @fdroidorg without Internet permission.

Possible options are:
drip (safest!)
Periodical
log28

All of these apps don't ask for internet permission and thus can't share your data. Drip goes the extra mile and explicitly opts out of Android's backup framework so your data won't be backed up on Google servers.

Okay I love Mastodon now. One tap to get rid of a whole lot of stupidity.

@EU_Commission These claims go entirely against the consensus in the field.

The projected growth in AI, blockchain, IoT will lead to a massive rise in emissions, not a reduction. And contrary to your claim, none of these technologies is essential in reducing emissions.

Quantum Computing is unlikely to be mainstream by 2050 and has currently no promise of energy efficiency. There are much more promising compute technologies. Space-based services cause emissions in the upper atmosphere which leads to additional warming of those layers, making global warming worse.

Please check with experts before posting things like this.(fwiw, I am an expert in low-carbon and sustainable computing so green & digital transition is my area)

I really love this one because it's a great summary of how many security updates (kernel, low-level libraries, etc.) need a reboot. So a high uptime means you've probably not been installing your updates.

"Uptime is just a reflection of how many 0-days you're vulnerable to" (quote from Neko May)

All these people who keep screaming about how "The LGBT want to allow surgeries on kids" (which isn't even true) really love to keep forgetting about circumcision.

But sure, keep hating on LGBT people while you cut off a part of your kid's genitals solely for your religion and not for any medical reason.

FTR. I fully support the right of any pregnant person to make their own choice. Taking bodily autonomy away is the opposite of support and care that is often claimed by opponents of abortion. Returning to a past we had thought we had overcome is unacceptable to me.

Fact: Fact: In at least 10 US states, laws in access to abortion will be MORE restrictive than in Iran, Somalia and other countries. #justsayin ft.com/content/ebf64d7b-064c-4 (possibly paywalled)

Don't listen to these fools. Violence and riots is the only thing they will listen to. people in power are not moved to change unless they themselves stand to benefit. And if benefitting looks like not storming their homes and breaking their windows, so be it.

🚨 :facebook: NEW: #Facebook is collecting ultrasensitive personal #data about #abortion seekers and enabling anti-abortion organizations to use that data as a tool to target and influence people online, in violation of its own policies and promises.

Modern #protest guide in times of #SurveillanceCapitalism. First and foremost: GO. Participate in protests. #FeetOnTheStreet beats any sort of online petition (many of those platforms are full of trackers anyway). 1/n

via @/MPHProject on twitter - "To all the liberals and NGOs planning on trying to pacify and control other peoples’ responses to Roe in the streets…"

If you're gonna go to a probably-boring protest this weekend, this would be a good one to distribute.

Reminder: none of the rights you have as a person were won through peaceful means.

What happened today in the US was a disgrace

Abortion is not just a right, it's a necessary medical procedure. It's a way to prevent a rapist from controlling your whole life. A way to prevent certain death due to a miscarriage.

Banning abortion is choosing to let healthy people die from preventable causes.

Banning abortion is murder.

And this is not where they will stop. These religious extremists will kill all who don't follow their views. Stop them.

Hey Mastodon, does anyone know if is still working with ? I haven't heard any news about this situation in the past 2 years, the @githubbers account seems quiet too.
