So... if participation ratios in tech was seriously skewed towards CIS white men when nobody knew what programming was... what happens now that everybody knows what tech is and everybody also "knows" that tech is hostile to women and minorities?

How do we talk about the problems without scaring away the people we want to include?

@HerraBRE imho one way is signal boosting members of those minorities who are in tech, so that members of minorities who *aren't* in tech but are maybe curious/interested get to see that yeah, it's a interesting and potential field for people like them. And I mean signal boosting people when they're talking *tech* just as much as when they're talking about the issues they're facing: representation matters, especially for young people. They see that they can have a voice.

@ajbw That's a good insight. And it's actionable; I can work towards this in my projects even though I myself am the anti-minority. Thank you!
