Does anyone know some good Sci-Fi Books, I recently read The Three Body Problem and the Dark Forest by Cixin Liu and was amazed. Now I have to wait until April 2019 till the third book of the series will be released in german (since I started the series in german). I know that the third book is already available in english.
So in the meantime I need some recommendations.
@gilgwath that sounds interesting I check that out.
@arkedos "Lock in" + "Head on" by John Scalzi. "The Collapsing Empire" by John Scalzi. "Leviathan wakes" by James S.A. Corey (and the rest of that series).
@arkedos and do try Dave Hutchinson's "Europe" series and Ben Aaronovitch's "Rivers of London" series. If you are more into alien worlds, try "Children of Time" by Adrian Tchiakovsky. Also, have a look at N. K. Jemisin's books.
@arkedos Thanks for the information about the Cixin Liu triology. It's on my reading list, was it good?
@hinterwaeldler
yeah I found it really interesting. At first when I heard about it, I was like "okay sounds boring" because it is actually "hard Sci-Fi" which means you get bombarded with scientific facts. But Cixin Liu didn't overdo it and tells a really imaginative sometimes philosophical story which makes you think about how certain things could work for humanity. Really intellegint Sci-Fi. At least in my opinion. Still waiting for the third book :)
@arkedos try the expanse series by James S.R Corey. The first book is called Leviathan Wakes. the Audiobooks are well read by Jefferson Mays. Theres also a netflix series... But I'd watch it afterwards. They break the nice balance between action, politics and spacelife that exists through out the books. I also heard the Tom Scalzi stuff is worth reading but I have to finish Expanse first
