Which is the best password safe for android and Linux?

@rugk Dem schließe ich mich an: KeepassXC und Keepass DX. @Hughenknubbel @beli3ver

@beli3ver This is a valid question. I am looking for a replacement of 1Password as well. Running it inside Wine is not an option.

Afaik there is *pass* and *LastPass*

@beli3ver pass nutze ich. Gibt auch eine Android APP dafür ( benutzte ich aber nicht mehr, weil ich finde dass sowas nicht auf's Handy gehört). Kann man mit git synchronisieren

@lorddavidiii that's the reason I am using pyvault it is really nice, but how do you get your passwords to your phone when you need it?

pypi.org/project/pyvault/

@beli3ver i sent them to my self in conversations. But the app is good, I just don't need them so often on my phone, that's maybe the main reason

f-droid.org/app/com.zeapo.pwds

@lorddavidiii @beli3ver I have used it before but I don't like to put my passwords in an app or over got

@beli3ver I use keepassx on desktop, and the keepass DX app on android. Synced with my Nextcloud instance, but if you don't have that you can use any other file syncing like Syncthing

@beli3ver KeePassX if you're using a slightly older system but technically you should use KeePassXC if you can because it's the community version. The original KeePass requires Mono to be installed. The only issue I have as a heavy command-line user is I highly doubt anyone in XC is testing compatibility for the 'kpcli' package. Community made things are great, but over the last few years, I'm really starting to hate our new comers. Expect the only way to get XC soon is by snap.

@TheOuterLinux yes but I preferred a CLI version

@beli3ver It's not a pretty ncurses interface, but it does open like it has its own shell.

@beli3ver May I also introduce you to 'toot'? 'sudo pip install toot' if you want want to use Mastodon in CLI too. Actually, take a look: gitlab.com/theouterlinux/comma.
