Off to the soon. I mistakenly looked up the wod this morning, but I'm doing the metcon class anyway. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

As usual, it will be 40min work - but split into two parts today. Interesting.

training went well. I was able to get a lot heavier with the box squats this week. Granted I used a belt and a slightly higher box. Still felt good to move the weight a lot faster.

The workout afterwards had pistols and after the first round those felt good too. All things considered, this was a good day for training. 😊

my colleagues: *sobbing* You can’t just call everything Kubernetes!
me: *points at picture* Kubernetes

I'm seeing my first change on a local instance of the website. I guess I can start to translate pages now, but first I have to remove a lot of empty stub pages... Starting with cleaning up, not a good experience. πŸ˜•

Judging by the speed of the checkout I might have to continue this tomorrow... πŸ˜‘

Cloning the website repository. I'll try to add a little translation to the project.

Something I learnt b in therapy, that might help others.

Make active goals.

This means to not set goals on states, but on actions.

For example:

Instead of "I finish this thing" make your goal "I work on this thing today"

Reason is, you can't really control the state, as a lot can come up.

But you can control more that you work on something. And any amount of work would suffice to reach that goal. So even if you work in it for just an hour, it might not be finished, but you worked on it

Almost forgot that I don't have to buy a train ticket today. My commute on sundays is covered by my monthly ticket all the way.

My current is almost 3 years old. Battery power has decreased, but it still gets me through a whole day, even when I'm using it a lot. I might get a new one this year and probably sell this via eBay for 1/5 or 1/8 of the original price. Or I might keep it another year if the battery lasts that long.

Thinking about visiting in April... First test for the company I work for since August.

Off to the . Weather is still bad, but I might stay dry today.

If the cloud infrastructure doesn't allow for fast deployment of new small services, is it even a cloud infrastructure? πŸ€”

It's been a long time since I got drenched in rain like today. Guess I'll wear full rain clothes tomorrow. 😣

Recovery is not the greatest, neither is sleep. That will be an interesting training session in the afternoon. 😬

Open plan office sucks. I'll finally add that to my checklist in case I want to switch jobs again in the future. 🎧

Highly recommended reading if you do Ops or DevOps.
Paraphrasing someone who commented elsewhere:
First I chuckled,
Then I nodded with increasing frequency,
Then I cringed,
Then I wept,
And finally I just dissolved in tears.

Ouch! I'm in this [picture] and I don't like it!
#DevOps and a bit of #infosec.
