But whether it works depends.. on distribution, luks and/or LVM or not, and your swap partition needs to be big enough to hold current swap PLUS hibernation image (RAM)
And then it may work or not. i.e. for me resume is ok, but after some time or the next or second sleep/standby (not hibernate) things start acting weird..

From times when I set it up:

Output of: swapon -s
in /etc/default/grub append to
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="resume=/dev/dm-2"

Or, if swap on LVM
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="resume=/dev/mapper/yourvg-swap"

Then
grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg
