@Sir_Boops That's GREAT! I've been talking about how I think we should do AP over tor .onion addresses and I was planning on doing it myself. I am *thrilled* someone else beat me to it.
IMO we're going to need to start incorporating petnames systems into these systems in order to make the gobbletygook'ness of those identifiers still be useful for people: https://github.com/cwebber/rebooting-the-web-of-trust-spring2018/blob/petnames/draft-documents/making-dids-invisible-with-petnames.md
(Also augh I need to finish that paper)
Pleroma developers have successfully tested ActivityPub over tor .onion services https://octodon.social/@cwebber/99858341117014053
Is it only me that gets annoyed with the fact that voice of snake for the English version of #MGS 5 was changed to the guy from 24. Don't get me wrong he did a great job. It's just I grew up with the other voice and fine the change odd
i hope she can find an alternative to carry on doing what she does though and i hope VICE get fucked for being fuckers that break their deals with sources
Genuinely confused about the whole vice and naomi wu thing. Horrid fuckery if they broke their agreement with her (which i don't think they've even bothered to dispute) and her doxxing the journalist on patreon (which she broke her agreement[tos] with them not to do things like that). i can see only one side being punished here for breaking agreements, that clearly isn't fair. I don't agree with doxxing & threats of it, but i hate journalists damaging journalism and their sources too

Oh shit, git!
http://ohshitgit.com/
Git is hard: screwing up is easy, and figuring out how to fix your mistakes is fucking impossible. Git documentation has this chicken and egg problem where you can't search for how to get yourself out of a mess, unless you already know the name of the thing you need to know about in order to fix your problem.
So here are some bad situations I've gotten myself into, and how I eventually got myself out of them in plain english*.
@charlag btw I love your avatar pic is there a high resolution one I can use as a wallpaper :)
@charlag not really I find them interesting :)
@samis welcome and I'm in England as well so hi from your side of town :)

Noam Chomsky: The smart way to keep people passive and obedient is to strictly limit the spectrum of acceptable opinion, but allow very lively debate within that spectrum - even encourage the more critical and dissident views. That gives people the sense that there's free thinking going on, while all the time the presuppositions of the system are being reinforced by the limits put on the range of the debate. http://protestationdotorg.wordpress.com/category/quotes/#66894
