@thegibson But I just got here...

I kind of doubt the pine phone is going to be "good enough" once I get it running.

Android, I felt like I was perpetually playing wack-a-mole on and that the phone really was just being lent out to me by some marketing firm.

Honestly, I just hate all smart phones at this point.

“Came to a bar to have a nice beer, like any reasonable person would on a Friday. The waitress asked me to order through a QR code which would take my order only if I have a Gmail account. I left and found another bar because: I don’t want to have a beer through my Gmail. Jesus fucking Christ.” – Vjosa Musliu

Flea market find, $9 - the seller used the machine as a stand for some Core-based laptop and was quite surprised, that I want this and not the modern one 😀

@kiwix

This kind of offline website option is really important not just to people who have broken internet, but also those who live in remote areas or in difficult political situations.

Offline material can be distributed physically or through a local server and mesh network without ever connecting to the internet, which means it can bypass geographic or political barriers.

Kiwix themselves give an interesting example of this: kiwix.org/en/ladakhipedia-offl

pessoal, fiz entrevista ontem na Everis pra QA de Acessibilidade e a recrutadora me pediu indicações:

- é para atuar em par, eles colocam uma pessoa com deficiência e outra sem para fazer os testes;

- é bom ter algum background na área de tecnologia, seja faculdade, estágio, ou até aquele projeto pessoal que você mantém por diversão;

- não é necessário conhecimento prévio em QA em si pois eles dão treinamento;

- não precisa manjar nada dos conhecimentos comuns de QA como ferramenta de teste automatizado, ou saber escrever teste porque os testes de acessibilidade são 99% manuais;

- é bacana já ter alguma vivência com acessibilidade digital, mas se não tiver, realmente se interessar de verdade pelo assunto porque tu vai respirar isso 8 horas por dia, 7 dias por semana;

quem tiver interesse me chama me manda uma DM com seu currículo ou LinkedIn
