That said this looks like standard cold war behavior and we should probably expect to see more.
This isn't a one-sided deal tho, with NATO doing more aggressive maneuvers in eastern Europe.
One ray of hope is that for instance the Bundeswehr can barely keep up with the maneuvers, with a majority of machinery in disrepair.
The war machinery is overpriced and –luckily– underperforming.
