Lobster has not been getting as much joy from following John Zoidburg. Crisis of faith is always hard. Lobster understand.

Please be safe in summer. If not pray to Zoidburg correctly he will not be able to help us! Remember to eat as much as you can as often as you can for as long as you can-- it is the only proper method of prayer.

Vote Lobster in 2020.

hardware junk

so my feather 328p has a bootloader bug, and to flash that i need some gpio bit banging. the lime2 can do that
my librem 5 devkit i'm trying to salvage to get at least something cool with it keeps resetting and i'd have to figure out what to do with it using a serial port
i need a 5v power supply for the lime2 and my option is to solder one together from two supplies (i need the right plug) or buy one

librem 5 junk

it's actually impossible to use the librem because you can't install a system image

my friend wasted today setting up this piece of shit because it seems more accessible but it turns out to not be and still the ONLY ACCESSIBLE GIT WEB INTERFACE IS GITHUB. let that sink in. of all the FOSS git project management NONE OF THEM EXCEPT GITHUB WORK

the help menu at the top of the page will let you tab to content if you hit down, it doesn't tell you this even did anything. the 'project overview' submenus are only accessible by mouseover, it's not revealed there's any submenus by screen reader. the clone and download menus work, the branch selector says its a link. the branch searcher/selector doesn't work at all unless you use tab which creates a second buggy selection. closing doesn't work

if you turn off javascript suddenly you can see the issue in the tooltips because it seems the HTML only works with javascript in the tooltips

why would they do this? to make some text bold in the tooltip. that's the entire reason. apparently browsers support styling text in tooltips using HTML. god

so gitea turns out to not care about accessibility at all and is probably going to REMOVE accessibility features. great. so what next? install gitlab of course! but it turns out gitlab is just fucking *broken* accessibility wise by putting HTML in alt text
