Usually, gargoyles on the facades of the Gothic temples are located so that the rain water from the roofs flows through their mouths. But one of the gargoyles of the Monastery of Fribourg, on the contrary, holds hands and feet behind the wall, and the water flows from its butt. According to the city legend, during the construction of this cathedral, City Council increased the work of mason with no increase in pay. The stonemasons did the job, but placed this sculpture in front of the city council windows.
