En: Which program to copy audio from a classic cd to the computer?

GOGOOPTS=" -v 0 -b 320 "
LAMEOPTS=" -m s -b 320 "
pre_read ()
eject -x 8

@wuffel better use FLAC, many players support it, even the free Google Music Cloud does (if that matters for anyone) and you can convert FLAC lossless to any other format later on and it is very easy to just convert the FLAC to MP3, but you should store the FLAC for later.

Thanks for sharing abcde, I was looking for some easy to use solution for linux, never did rip a CD with linux, but was planning to do all CDs and get rid of them.

Jepp, flac is my favorite format for archives, records of my own band and quality recorded music. I doesn't make sense with a record from 1973. I usually choose mp3 for public use. Most of my time i indeed listen to CD, my collection is far too big for ripping it.

Also das funktioniert wirklich gut :mastoblush:

@GambaJo @alerich

GUI, GNOME: Sound Juicer
Or Clementine when using that as music library anyway, or Asunder.

@erAck thx, I tried Asunder on Manjaro :manjaro: and it works really well. I will try the "fruty" things on my Linux Mint computer :linuxmint: :mastoinnocent:
