Ok, so how "local" is the local timeline?
Spain here.
@Hughenknubbel Ooh so THAT explains it!
@la_torre USA so not very local :grin:
@la_torre Belgium here.
@la_torre local to the server (social.tchncs.de), AFAIK not to any geographic location (at least not this one).
We are both on the same server so I see you in the local timeline as well as the federated timeline.
But I am sat in the UK, many hundreds of km away and the other side of the sea.
For those who do not simply pick the instance that is hyped in the tech press; they might pick one in the same continent (like selecting mirrors for software downloads).
@vfrmedia Thnaks for the explanation m8!
@la_torre Estados Unidos aqui.
@la_torre 'Local' in your case is the instance, social.tchncs.de
@la_torre Local to the instance you're on. Federated is your instance and anyone that people on your instance follow.
@la_torre it mean "Local" the instance that you are part of!
@la_torre I thought it was local to the server, not region
@la_torre locale means locale on this Server.
