Weather in the Netherlands is very bright during the day, and freezing during the night. March is normally cloudy and overcast. It's been suggested that this is due to the reduced number of planes producing water vapour in the atmosphere. Are other parts of the world seeing a similar effect?

@michiel It is not without precedent to have a period in spring with very clear skies. That said, the drop in emissions probably helps as well.

@whvholst similar clear skies were reported after 9/11 in the US, and after the eruption of the Icelandic volcano (not going to try to type the name on my phone)
