@milan I have become so annoyed of this that my thin-skinned reaction is just to nope out of it:
"Hey, you want our newsletter, don't you" *close tab*
"We updated our website" *close tab*
"Hey, do you want to support us?" *close tab*
Giant "we use cookies" warnings and ads (mobile) *close tab*
I probably miss some good stuff but I really ran out of patience.

@milan Maybe ublock can get this blocked with it's cookieblocking list, as well as a manual done block. (The manual stuff does not work that well on mobile Firefox. :/)
