Hey you partypeople from social.tchncs.de - i am not happy to do another statement but here you have it.
Due continuing abuse against a remote user called "ginny" from users of this instance, i just performed a temporaly suspend so this user is not anymore available from here and i hope to be able to un-suspend the user soon.

@milan it is generally a bad idea to restrict the victim in a case of abuse. if there are consequences they should restrict the abusers.

@benni This is a false analogy. And I could easily create my own to counter yours but this would be arguing for the sake of arguing.

@benni ok this seams only to lock abusers out of one instance - what about every other instance where he could register? So this would just well export abuse to other instances?
@milan what action are you taking against the users? What steps to prevent this happening in the future?
@milan What you did is, that everyone who follows Ginny (like me) can't see her anymore? It affects everyone who like to read her posts - so you effectually silenced her! How does that affect or stop the harassers?
Why not suspending the harassers? Or - better - blocking the harassers posts from leaving the local timeline?
