One of the many things that makes "The Play That Goes Wrong" so wonderful is that all of the "actors" have personalities and motivations of their own.

So the actual actors are playing actors who are playing characters. There's two levels of acting going on there, which can't be easy to do.

Brilliant, hilarious play. If you're in the area, see it before it closes in January.

Any folks out there who can recommend a good resource for structuring of classic locked-room murder mystery novels? I'm toying with the idea of one now, and I've laid out the plot beat-by-beat to the point where the first person gets murdered. But I'm struggling with keeping the investigation compelling and moving forward without giving too much away.

I've read a million murder mysteries, you'd think I'd have an instinctive sense for the structure by now, but no.

Saw "Florence + The Machine" last night at Barclay in Brooklyn. She is the most incredible live performer. My wife compared her to a cult leader, but in a positive way. (At one point she even seemed to be "blessing" members of the audience, with her hand on their foreheads.) She's so compelling, you can't look away.

I wasn't even a big fan of her music recorded--I liked it just fine, but wasn't wowed by it the way I was by her live.

It’s an interesting evening to be in Union Square. People are lined up for a pro wrestler’s book signing, a couple of women are modeling wedding dresses for a crowd of photographers, and there’s a booth advertising four benefits of a foreskin.

The first sequel to Sharknado should have been called Sharknado 2: Eel-ectric Boogaloo. The fact that it was not proves we are in the darkest timeline.

Hey, we've had a lot of laughs on here. But you know what isn't a laugh? Jorts.

Talk to your kids about jorts. Before someone else does.

@morganth @JordiGH i think you mean the Scoobygeist two part episode. Would have been Scooby and Scrappy Doo I think, just Daphne it. No Fred and Vilma?

FOAK: I have a fuzzy memory from my childhood of a episode (not sure which series, but it would have been in the 80s), where they were in a creepy haunted house, and at the end, they escaped the house and it sank into the ground, House of Usher style.

Anyone else remember that episode and can point me to it? Google has been no help.
