Double fisting coffee in an attempt to drag my lifeless corpse across the finish line that is today.
Saturday! Mediterranean veggie hash and omelets ๐
Old people holding phones up to their ears that are on speaker phone has to be one of the greatest pleasures on earth.
Pepsi: horrible PR disaster
United: *hold my beer*
Sean Spicer: *hold my Pepsi*
Jetskis should be called boatercycles
Things would be a lot different if Trump had just launched 59 Pepsi's instead.
Smh
The criticism of instances and Mastodon's theory/practice of decentralization would be amusing if it weren't kind of sad. Decentralization was the feature of the internet before the mega-companies took it over. Harder to use, yes, but so rewarding.
Eh, if people want a centralized social media platform that sells them stuff, let them enjoy the status quo out there.
Happy Friday! ๐
Here's a picture from my photography site. Check it out and let me know what you think! ๐ธ

My neck. My back. My Netflix and my snacks
Nobody tells ME how to live my life. Except Martha Stewart.
It's a good thing.
THE FUTURE OF THE PAST IS NOW, PEOPLE!
Coffee, you my boo
The federated approach to Mastodon keeps me excited. It's still really unclear how it works from the outside. though. I feel it's a packaging problem. There needs to be more marketing and fluffiness about it. Why would I want to start my own instance? Where are the benefits? How do I move my content over? Can I still stay friends with the people here at mastodon.social? Etc. In the end it needs to be a simple one-click decision. It needs to feel light and enjoyable.
The best part of Mastodon is that it can continue to exist because users want it to exist. It doesn't have to find a business model, it can just be a wonderful public service / open protocol.
I think the thing I'm most excited about is hearing "toot storm"
And on the 8th day, God said "Let there be hummus"
And then there was hummus. And it was good.
I binged all 3 seasons of Halt and Catch Fire this week and now that it's over there is a serious hole in my life.
Can ya'll cut it out with the bot's-as-RSS feed accounts? Can we relegate those to an instance I can entirely ban? I don't need article spam...!
Censorship resisting platforms like Tor and activist organisation should use mastodon.social platform instead of twitter
