@BryanLunduke

I love how Richard Stallman goes on about giving into oppressive measures because it's easier in the short-term, while long term you will always lose. So whoever does so is not very bright in the end. In any given discussion that is not a lecture, Stallman will generally be the most oppressive person talking. You gave in for short-term benefit. But, you got what you wanted! At least a lecture given by Richard Stallman for your show!

Surely there's better verbs than "TOOT!". :thinking:
Blurt. Ponk. Plook. Plop.
Very onomatopoetic.

People using a "verified icon" as a joke on their Mastodon names is confusing as fuck for people who are just coming from Twitter.

T-Minus 12 hours until Richard Stallman records his appearance on the #LundukeHour. Any last minute questions you'd like asked?

One day I either need to move somewhere not as hot, or somewhere pretty so it's at least worth the blazing temperatures.

@smygel Pineapple is a glorious, delicious tropical fruit often used by Mastodonians as a way of spreading wholesome vibes and good tasting food.

Did you know? That :pineapple: was a name used for pine cones, the first recorded mention of the word dates back to 1398. #PineappleTrivia #PineappleAppreciation

@smygel I'm okay with that. I prefer open source, but closed-source is not a disqualifier nor an absolute requirement for a secure product. Ultimately, open source doesn't help you unless you verify builds, and that's an impossibility on HSM-like devices such as YubiKeys.

They have a good blog post explaining some of the reasons: yubico.com/2016/05/secure-hard
