My blog is now my not-so-secret home for casual writing, all posts here and elsewhere reside on https://stefanlaser.micro.blog. Replies are fedi integrations™. It works like a charm.
Manton describes the main idea of POSSE quite beautifully: https://book.micro.blog/cross-posting/
"Social networks may come and go, but the canonical version of our posts live at our own indie microblog."
@stefanlaser the first principle of the IndieWeb is to *own your data*. This is achieved with an own domain that no single service can hold hostage.
POSSE is a great idea, and I practice that myself, but it comes more far down the list.
Get a domain so you may move services eventually without having to tell everyone that Raider is now Twix.
micro blog makes this possible.
@bekopharm I know, I have a domain where my previous Hugo instance is still running. I'm basically waiting for the DNS updates .
I guess playing around with code is a crucial part too. And finding a sweet data centre/virtual cluster. Etc.
