I'm dreamy for manycore processors, where each core is simple (relatively speaking) and we have a software stack that can leverage numerous cores for any and all programs.
@kaniini before put that into a search engine, here are my guesses:
- it's a project from decades ago that was full of very wonderful ideas but never became mainstream because reasons: 80% likely
- it's a contemporary experimental project full of wonderful ideas that will never become mainstream because reasons: 18% likely
- it's Intel's new direction after realizing their current path has no good way forward. They're all in on it and the first chips ship in 2 years: 2% likely
@kaniini nice. A step in the right direction .
