And now I see weaponvsac is closing, so maybe my concerns are justified? I feel like staying on tchncs will reduce the chance I'll need to relocate again?

So I'm a bit worried about jumping onto a small instance like dice.camp.

In particular, every instance has overhead. Hosting must be paid for. Interest must be kept up. The way I see it, a small instance has less investment, which increases the chance of it just disappearing at some point. Not that I expect that from @olde_fortran of course.

That said, dice.camp seems like the hub for my interests.

Am I just being paranoid?
