update: had to telephone LBS owner again as hadn't heard anything back from them, he is still waiting for reply from the manufacturers in SE England (going to chase them by telephone now) about what spares/diagnostics are needed (alas, even specialist e-bike dealers don't keep these in stock).

Hopefully this doesn't take too long to get sorted out!

now removing extra light and phone mount from bike and transferring items from my panniers to my combined laptop/tool bag..

I have email of CEO of ebike manufacturing company, so can contact him if their service dept doesn't respond to LBS tomorrow (hopefully they will!)

Either BMS on the accu and/or controller may be defective (and its out of warranty) so this isn't going to be cheap to fix 🙁 - at least I got 5000 km out of it (and the bike really should have brakes etc checked as well) >>

in any case the Computer *didn't* turn up at our most remote site today (it is still crossing the North Sea or ended up going via Border Force Essex *again*), if it does arrive there tomorrow my boss said I can claim for the cost of the taxi there, and might be able to get a lift back with the HR manager (as she lives only a few streets away from me..)

@vfrmedia after 5000 km it's time to also change the chain etc. thats a lot

@MightyPork indeed, am planning to get the entire bike serviced (the cost of this will be minor compared to replacing the accu and controller if that is what is required (its a 16AH 36V accu!)
