it's crazy that in 2017 some modern windows software crash or don't want properly just because I have the character "é" in my user name
@Siphonay when I was running an online radio station I had to reject so much software, as I was rebroadcasting German hard techno mixes, which (not unreasonably) had titles in German and a lot of USA designed software choked on these (that which was more widely used in Europe was at least better).
For work databases/software I insist they are fully unicode compatible as many of our staff are from countries where they might have accented characters in their names..
