@pinkprius What kind of noodles is that though?
@pinkprius Looked a lot like the shape of egg noodles, so I felt I had to ask. :o
@pinkprius @maloki curiously these ones *without* egg are surprisingly hard to obtain in the UK (even looking at specialist Chinese retailers) - but egg noodles are common everywhere as well as "Anglicised" versions of #ramen and the Malaysian equivalent (spicier, but neither particularly healthy, full of additives!) I've not found the actual Japanese variant at my local supermarket. The variant seems popular enough in both DE and NL to warrant its own Wiki article..
@pinkprius @maloki I was quite surprised (although perhaps shouldn't be) that a long standing UK supplier where you would have got noodles like these is now selling more "upmarket" varieties with more flavourings and all sorts of instant noodles but that must reflect their sales patterns, they do sell the plain wheat ones but these are apparently all out of stock (maybe restaurants stocking up for festive season?)
