Well, f*ck.
BYU Family History Technology Lab (https://fhtl.org/) has some nice tools extending the FamilySearch tools. One is the RelativeFinder (https://www.relativefinder.org/), which can show you your relation with famous people.
@voks sorry - some questions are better left unasked
@voks WikiTree is doing this wihout addon and has multiple additional tools or Apps that I personally find useful.
@sven
Can you point me to the site, where WikiTree lists me all my connections with famous people?
@voks
At the bottom of your own profile, changing every week. Also you can do that when opening a category, for example https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:US_Presidents, and click on "My Connections". For all of those, you will need to be connected to the "big tree" of course and FamilySearch for Germany probably still has more connections, though. #WikiTree
@sven
@Flominator @voks the tool for Familysearch is obviously very helpfuö, too, so thanl you for sharing lt, @voks !
One nice application of this feature on @wikitree is that it works with any category. For my #OnePlaceStudy I am tagging the residents of houses in the village I grew up in, and this feature lets me see my relationship to the residents of that house - very interesting for Heuerling families and the Kotten buildings.
@Flominator
Nice, didn't knew of the "my connections" button in the category. Now there's just the top category "famous people" missing, well, and the data, but that's another topic, of course.
@sven
@Flominator
Well, I'm also related to Eisenhower, Johnson and Hoover (as of FamilySearch). And I'm not one who leaves out something unfortunate. It is as it is. But I'm still hopeful, that this Trump connection is incorrect.
