Why I buy safety certified, integrated ebikes from local bike shops, a story:
I've had my Electra Townie for almost 8 years. I rode through the winter on it for all of those years. I expected to need to replace the battery soon. On it's latest tune up, there were some errors on the software update, and afterwards the temperature sensor on the battery failed, thinking it was 125C, it refused to turn on. 1/ #BikeTooter #ebike

WA may be getting new highways — for bicyclists

While Washington State has been struggling to fund most of its major transportation projects, the chair of the state Senate Transportation Committee says financing a statewide bikeway system is cheap enough to pull off. The project would connect our existing major bike paths across the state—the Burke-Gilman, Palouse to Cascades, Eastrail, and Spokane’s Centennial—for less than $50 million over two years. It’s orders of magnitude cheaper than car infrastructure AND better for our environment.

Biked with the teen to school this morning and then over to my office for day 2 of #30DaysOfBiking. Much warmer today! Hoping the thunderstorms in the forecast hold off until both of us get home. Biking gives the chance to stop and admire the cherry blossoms. #BikeTooter

#30DaysOfBiking Day 1:
I'm back home from my awesome trip to the great 5 National Parks in Utah.
Back to reality. So I rode my #ebike to this evening's park board meeting. It was just starting to snow on the way there. But by the return trip it was snowing a very wet snow heavily. Good thing I was dressed for it and my new winter cycling jacket repels wet snow very well. Each way was just over 4 miles, so a light start, but I'll ramp it up as time and weather allow.

"Ahhh, Mücke! Wo ist mein Handtuch? Ha, nimm das!"

Bisschen früh für die Kollegen, aber 2 von den Viechern verirrten sich grad zu mir in den Dachboden.

Zum Glück war das längliche Saunahandtuch auf dem Rad griffbereit, so dass ich die Mücken von Dachschräge zu Dachschräge peitschen konnte. Fühlte mich grad ein wenig wie Elastigirl von The Incredibles :o)

Ein Dropbarlenker mit Aerobar und Handtuch vor 2 Ventilatoren und einem Fernseher auf einem Regal. LED-Leuchten erhellen den Boden und die Wand unter und hinter dem Fernseher in den Farben Lila und Pink.

Okay, friend has obtained a beater bicycle... now to help him fix it up and see how long it lasts and if it will get stolen locked outside at his apartment complex. (beater but good frame/components... the best kind of beater, no market or resale value but great transportation capability). #BikeTooter
