I don’t understand why Biden needs to pardon Liz Cheney. Pardons are for people who committed crimes. #Cheney investigated Trump on the January 6th committee. That’s not a crime, it’s congressional oversight. Trump doesn’t like her, because she stood up to the bully. What’s next, does Biden have to pardon Adam Kinzinger for being on the committee too?

In 2024, Trump received 2-3m fewer votes than in 2020; Harris-Biden 13-14m fewer.
Why did so many voters stay home?
There are 140m poor & low-wage adults in the US, "43% of our country":
30% of white ppl
60% of Black ppl
68% of Latino ppl
68% of Indigenous ppl
Everywhere a living wage was on the ballot, Dems won.

"With the assistance of big corporate donors, Democrats out-fundraised their opponent by huge margins. After Biden’s victory four years ago, they also had a readymade template for how to defeat him — preaching ambitious social policies and activist government — but bafflingly opted to pursue a rerun of Clinton’s disastrous strategy instead."

Novara Media · Democrats Have Only Themselves to BlameKamala Harris supporters are already blaming a stupid electorate and an inclement economy for their historic defeat, writes Luke Savage. Maybe it had something to do with cosying up to war criminals and billionaires?

When the #Democrats twist themselves into knots trying to get us to understand that #jillstein—who is very clearly head and shoulders above these global embarrassment major-party candidates—is actually somehow to blame for the Democratic nominee’s record of mass-incarcerating Black folks in her own state (and violating the Constitution to keep doing it) and supporting an ongoing genocide, they fundamentally misunderstand the situation: they fail to understand that for many of us, there was never any possibility of voting for anyone who supports or participates in this attempt to wipe out the people of the #Gaza Strip; there was 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 any possibility of voting for anyone who supports or participates in a fundamentally racist criminal justice system. Many of us were just never going to vote for either #KamalaHarris or #DonaldTrump—the choice was between Stein, writing someone in, and staying home.

Don’t worry about Dr. Stein and her supporters: we are a part of a different movement. Your brat party with Dick and Liz was never our place, and it won’t be in the future. If you want us back, you have to move roughly 180 degrees from this incarnation of the party. 𝘞𝘦’𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯’𝘵 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘷𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘸𝘢𝘺. The change is interesting. Just the other night, Abby Phillip (CNN) played some clips of vintage #Obama making some anti-war noises back in the ‘00s, and she remarked on the actually very surprising fact that the Democrats have simply ceded the #antiwar rhetorical moves. Clearly, beyond rhetoric, both parties are irreversibly bound up with the ideological systems of permanent empire, but the development is still remarkable. It shows that the Democrats don’t even care about pretending on war and #empire; they’re bought in, ready to flip the bird to folks who wanted a meaningful alternative to the “foreign policy” of Bolton, #Clinton, Romney, #Cheney and the rest of the people who have been destroying our country’s position in the world since I was a kid. Hard pass. Please, please don’t pretend Stein is taking votes from Harris. You know those were never Harris’s votes; she didn’t earn them and didn’t care to try.
