- rave "banter" group puts up video of a good looking young lass in England at a petrol station who ended up with empty baggie that held her stuck to her back as she fills up the car. Registration mark of car in full view.

To be fair some lads *did* point out sharing the video could be problematic, but *no-one* picked up on the fact they've essentially grassed her up for potential (any cop or bootlicker now has her vehicle number plate)

This whole article is about saliva tests and goggles and apps made by tech bros that the police want to use to be able to lock people up for using a legal plant days/weeks/a month before driving, but these two sections made me laugh so hard I worried about my mental health for a moment.

But for real. There’s no way real cannabis users smoked weed to show cops what it looks like to be high & they didn’t act like characters in the movie Clerks, right? How could you not be a total caricature. Nobody who smokes weed is going to help the cops figure out how to bust people who smoke weed.

But it was me laughing at the last paragraph in the story that made me concerned for my mental health. Where was this energy when the country went to the honor system regarding spreading covid? We can trust people not to maim and kill their friends and neighbors with an invisible airborne virus but we can’t trust people to value their own lives and expensive autos enough to not drive messed up? Umm ok boomer. Seriously WTF.

After all, mistakes can happen such as accidentally targeting the wrong car to satisfy your vengeance and having your mugshot appear in the news afterwards. Yes, alcohol was involved, so we can throw in a DUI on top of it all.

Vans cost £47 000 each (cheaper than I had expected, a plain new van (without any Police equipment is £35k)

Is this really an "epidemic" of involving in - or just the case that the are fairly effective at selecting their targets when they do conduct roadside stops (perhaps using linked with data?)

There is often sporadic enforcement and a lack of RPU (roads policing unit) resources as well as stubbornness and psychological so folk probably get complacent and think they can get away with it

The man is completely glossing over the real reason in provincial towns have declined - whole scene was funded by laundered money and binge , with limited public transport at night it led to rampant , there was also increasing at events, countries with national can't afford to cope with this fallout so authorities clamped down on the hedonism of the 90s/00s
