One of my favorite interview questions is “What happens when you hit enter in the address bar of your browser?” It’s a great question that reveals how full stack someone is and whether they understand latency, protocols, architecture, and implementation details/boundaries.

I’d hire someone in an instant if they used this as the basis of their answer:

@DeanObeidallah
I found a clip of that opening #handshake.
youtube.com/watch?v=MeG6TycuK4

while he was ambling over to his #podium she walked to center stage, passing her own podium, then back to his podium, into his space, introduced herself and wished him a good debate.

She was alpha inviting him onto her stage. he never had a chance. He never got it, lawyers take advance debate class, it's a sport to them.

In 2008 and again in 2012, "being the first one out to shake the other person's hand" was considered a "power move", so the candidates would practically race each other to reach center stage first so THEY would be the one greeting the other candidate.

#Harris was first out to center stage. T**** walked straight to his podium. So when she walked over to him just to shake his hand, not only was it The Ultimate Power Move, but it made him look small & petty (which he is.) #HandShake

NEW POST: Devlog №.14

— I'm suspending work on #Handshake indefinitely
— beachfront.domains will continue to exist but no new features/releases

Decision was made roughly two weeks ago. I was saddened but ultimately feel it's for the best.

I enjoyed spending the last four years of my life working to bring awareness, understanding, and excitement to Handshake via posting across Mastodon, Farcaster, Slack, and LinkedIn, and building in public.
