This #JMusicFriday is about #Memory eh? Since that can include things that give us memories in addition to songs about memory it really opens up a lot of options.

I'll do something that combines both. From .hack//Liminality (the OVA that accompanied the .hack PS2 games) composed by Yuki Kajiura: youtube.com/watch?v=tu5qxIlZt0Y

Not only is the music itself about memories with a sort of hint of nostalgia in its feel, but for me at least this brings up a lot of memories of much better times. Not just me personally, but even anime at the time just had a better feel for me with such great shows at the time. And Kajiura was making music for so much... I loved listening to her soundtracks while doing various things.

I realize this tag is normally used for vocal music, but this just fit too well.

yesterday a song popped in my playlist, from cranky's rave-slave 2019 album.
but the thing is this song was one of the first you could unlock in the now deceased game SEVEN's CODE.
it brought back an old
#memory of playing this game when it was still up...

and conveniently, this is also the theme of today's
#jmusicfriday. But it was also a big theme of the game, where you first awoke with no memories, in a body that's not yours, and each chapter you have a new body, and try to find out who you are through the fragment of memories of the people you posses.
the game was really awesome, and it was the thing that made me become a big hater of SaaS, especially since they could've easily made it offline, but they didn't.

With this week's #JMusicFriday being themed #HatsuneMiku I'm tempted to cheat and just post one of the many many many many #utaite covers of various #Vocaloid songs I listen to every single day (no small number of which were originally using Miku.)

But maybe I'll do something a little more interesting this time:

This was a super early cover by #YanagiNagi (original NND post in 2008!) I consider this not to be cheating because Miku's voice is still left in there in a number of parts. It's also really neat because this is one of those super early covers hailing back to truly different times. EDIT: I made a mistake. But anyway, she did collab with Ryo in album releases under Supercell even if not as an official member.

when i saw that the theme for #jmusicfriday was #oldpeople, this song immediately popped into my mind:

just for this single sample that's played twice:

getting old is a lot like walking down a street that you never walked down before. you never know what's around the next corner. Some of the things might be great!
that's exactly how i want to get old.
