I just took a ride in the GRT pride bus: it's just a rainbow colored bus. When I talked with the driver about it, he said that "it cannot be political", and I replied: "my existence as a queer Palestinian is not political". "Talk with customer service" was his reply to shut down the conversation.
I don't think I've ever had anything from one of @cardamomaddict 's suggested restaurants which has done me a bad turn, and that applies in spades to Poppy's in Waterloo. I could barely finish half this Reuben bagel this evening, and the lox one -- and the remainder of this -- should keep me happily fed tomorrow.
Well, today.
Homemade and absolutely delightful, the bakery has some night hours from 11:30 PM on Friday and Saturday, possibly owing to its proximity to Wilfred-Laurier. Whatever the reason, I was glad indeed to fill my gullet after a long night, and with a fantastic sandwich at that.
Now I just have to try their beet salad.
