The installation of 4G at Corrour station on the West #Highland Line provides vital connectivity to one of Scotland’s most remote areas. Since launching in July 2024, over 40,000 people have accessed the service, improving digital access for both passengers and the local community. Corrour, only accessible by train, foot, or bike, now benefits from reliable 4G coverage, which supports local tourism and enhances the passenger experience. The service uses #satellite connectivity from Clarus, integrated with #ScotRail’s network, ensuring high-speed internet despite the station's isolation. This project, funded by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) and led by Virgin Media #O2, was delivered by ATS Ltd on behalf of #Scottish Futures Trust, highlighting the ongoing effort to enhance digital connectivity in rural #Scotland.
