Das ist ja - man verzeihe mir - richtig Scheiße.

Kann da nicht wer eine riesengroße STOP READ WE KILLED YOUR INTENTS aufhängen!

(1/2) The first #grapheneos on #pixel8a would be ready for daily usage if not these sending intent #problem is running up and down my nervs :-) (see post before this one)

I tried #Automation f-droid.org/de/packages/com.je instead of #easer but also there i am unable to send the intent to #Owntracks.

It currently looks like I only have the option to root GrapheneOS which is not what I want, or to continue with the old #LineageOS devices till there is a solution for automatic changing the move (...)

#owntracks #question I run owntracks since a long time on 2 phones reporting to my MQTT filling Owntracks #recorder.

This works great and in combination with #easer. I switch move mode when leavong home wifi with it..

Now I bought 2 pixel 8a to use them with #grapheneos and I do not want to root these devices.

Is there any other way to change the move mode when leaving home or home wifi?

boost welcome.

#OwnTracks Recorder does an excellent job of reverse geocode caching.
I'm limited to 2500 requests per day with #OpenCage free plan while importing my records from #GeoJSON files exported by #Dawarich. Yesterday I imported 2355 location records and got 446 reverse geocoding requests. So today I imported 4382 records. Too bad I can't see OpenCage requests count in real-time. Will see the result tomorrow.

By the way, my importer's MVP source code is available: git.nicelycomposed.codes/yehor
#homelab #selfhosting #selfhosted #locationhistory #gps

Nicely Composed Gitowntracks-importImport records to OwnTrack Recorder

After some tests I have my location reporting from #HomeAssistant to #OwnTracks Recorder via HTTP requests!
OwnTracks Frontend is also up and running.

Now to the migration from #Dawarich. I can just write a script to read GeoJSONs exported from Dawarich and put points to Recorder one by one, but there is a limit on reverse geocoding from the #OpenCage free plan - 2500 requests per day. And that's not all.

From the OpenCage website:
"Free trial accounts have a hard limit of 2,500 requests per day for testing purposes... We offer a free TRIAL, not a free tier. If you are regularly depending on our service, you are not testing. ". Sounds threatening, but at the same time there are no sanctions described for "regular use, not testing". And nothing about the differences between testing and regular use. Maybe OpenCage is not a perfect solution for #homelab.
