The owner of Beeja Botanicals is my former classmate, and she's used the shampoo herself, so I know it's good! The first batch is ready and will be available for purchase at #PravConf (or will be, once I've finished wrapping it all

We think such restrictions are as absurd for messaging apps as they would be for hair products. [Similarly, two speech bubbles with a lightning bolt betwixt]
XMPP is a common language (protocol) that different chat services can use to talk to each other. [Image of many connected speech bubbles]
[Green banner saying] XMPP stands for "eXtensible Messaging and Presence Protocol". Since both those are a mouthful, people in Brazil have taken to affectionately pronouncing it xampu—which means shampoo.
[A rabbit] This shampoo bar by Beeja Botanicals is hand made using natural ingredients. It is free from harmful products like SLS and paraben, and contains no animal-tested products.
Like making your own shampoo, running your own chat server allows you to address local ethical and technical issues—more privacy? solar powered? larger upload size? integrated login?—that matter to you.
Not everyone has the time and energy to make shampoo, or to run their own XMPP server. Proceeds from this shampoo bar will go towards funding Prav, which operates XMPP services so you don't have to. [A pigeon]

Over- and under-exposed well-stocked #roadside store in #Malleswaram, #Bengaluru. If anyone tells you "everything is online nowadays", show them this!
Photos taken with #Megapixels on the #PocoF1, with no post-processing apart from whatever happens by default. The white balance was manually adjusted but first too high and then too low—there wasn't enough time to get it to "just right"

how can i save more battery on my #pocof1 with #postmarketos and phosh?
when i had lineage installed on this, it reported that my battery life is around 62%.

@AnimeAndVisial well my #PocoF1 lasts about 8 hours per charge, so you shouod probably carry a power bank like I did. There are also some quirk peculiar to my phone like not being able to receive calls on suspend and no camera drivers, but if you get an actual designed-for-Linux phone like the #PinePhone or #Librem those are not issues (besides maybe the battery life)
If you don't need full mainline, @praveen can probably tell you more about the #Droidian based #FuriPhoneFLX1

Okay I'm back after the first leg of the journey. I'd put the phone on suspend for a while which also stonewalls calls and SMSes but informs me when I wake it up (#PocoF1 bug, or, shall I say, feature)
Here's a demonstration of the cellular being switched off. in #Phosh. The mobile data toggle thing is. now working fine by the way

I realised one disadvantage of going out is there are bright places where I have to crank up the backlight. Well, at least most of my travelling this time is at night

I forgot to test mobile data before leaving (someone on the #mobian channel had trouble with that on their #PocoF1 recently) but as you can see it's working fine! Phew 
Getting ready for my first long (2 days) outing carrying #Mobian on the #PocoF1!
Battery is at 99% and I'm keeping it plugged in till I leave, in about 15 minutes. Also carrying a power bank as backup 
I'll be updating more on this thread as things progress, now that I can

@disaster2life I mean #KaiOS is good if you want to also make and receive phone calls/SMS or create a 4G WiFi hotspot on said portable hackable device?
But if those are not important there'd be other options too (check #Beepy and #WiPhone!) 
For me, it was the one device I'd carry around (until I got #Mobian on my #PocoF1, but my #Nokia2720Flip is still 
when I'm not in the city and apt to be blocked by QR-coded React-bloated ticketing systems or something)

️Okay, so I finally published my first impressions running #Phosh and #Mobian on the #PocoF1!

So it turns out my intermittent audio issues on my #pocof1 running #postmarketos respond to percussive maintenance. My new theory is that the bulging battery pack is pressing on the speaker and making it buzz against its housing. I imagine I'd probably have better luck keeping the device outside the case, but the case is currently the most reliable source of power that isn't a direct connection to an outlet, so I'll just have to give it a gentle tap every once in a while lmao
