Possible banana skin for Hibs.</p><p>Tonight's drams:<br>Tobermory 10 finished in Port Casks<br>Skene Knockdhu 10</p><p>Tobermory 10 60.3% abv, NC, NCF. <br>Five years in American Oak Ex-Bourbon Barrells then finished for a further five in Port Casks. Absolutely outstanding 🥰 Lovely creamy mouthfeel with sweet fruity notes and some nuttiness. Chocolate and spicy cinnamon red berries which linger on the palate.</p><p>Skene Knockdhu 10 yo, NC, NCF 50% abv.<br>A lovely honey colour - creamy toffee and wood notes with bright red fruit. Floral parma violets, vanilla, red fruit and honey with ginger heat. djl 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿<p>Sipping this favourite and settling down to Friday night Scottish Championship football with leaders Falkirk setting about consolidating their place at the top.</p><p>Deanston Virgin Oak. NAS, NC, NCF, 46.3% abv. </p><p>Fresh orchard fruit, citrusy notes of orange and lemon peel, with lots of honey and vanilla coming through. Typical Deanston waxy mouthfeel with more fruit joined by liquorice, woody spice and chocolate. djl 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿<p>Whisky Advent Dram #24 </p><p>Atom Spirits - Christmas cake&amp; Dark chocolate&amp; Madjool dates&amp; Cinnamon. 8yo, 48% abv, NC, NCF. </p><p>Loads and loads and loads of red fruit, cloves and cinnamon, mulled wine, a touch of gingerbread and sweet barley sugar. Smooth and syrupy on the palate with more dried fruit, honey, spice, caramel and dark chocolate. Christmas cake finish, warm and spicy with hints of citrus and dried cherry. </p><p>Yes, it's a cliché - but it does taste like Christmas in a glass! <br> <br>I chose this final Whisky Advent dram as a winter warmer, anticipating a cold crisp December night. djl 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿<p>My Whisky Advent Dram </p><p>#22</p><p>Glen Garioch 15yo, Sherry Cask Matured, 53.7%, NC, NCF</p><p>The nose is dominated by dark fruit: dates, raisins, cherries, cinnamon-spiced apples and chocolate orange but there are also some meaty notes lurking. Initially, I got a slight sulfurous, spent matches whiff, but this disappeared with a few drops of water. The Geery waxiness is there in the first mouthful with more dark fruit, chocolate and sweet cola cubes. Touches of vanilla and sweet toffee sauce develop alongside woody, peppery spice. djl 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿<p>Whisky Advent Dram #21<br>Tobermory 2013 Port Cask Finish, Distillery Exclusive NC, NCF, 60.3% abv. </p><p>Five years in American Oak and another five in Port Casks.</p><p>Packed full of red berries. slight nutty notes. A real hit on the palate of warm cinnamon and ginger spice - nippy tingles on the lips and tongue. Distilled in 2011 and transferred to a 1st fill Tawny Port Cask in 2022 for 15 months.</p><p>Black cherry compote, blackcurrants and raspberries. Sweet barley sugar and dark chocolate. First sip and it's more of the same - lots of it. A few drops of water release gentle floral notes and a touch of liquorice and mint.
