I just released version 0.62.7, which is a :

- fixed maps activity crashing
- improved widget appearance on some devices and launchers (including on /e/OS)
- fixed font too small in the "Weather in Detail" widget
- fixed wrong preview image shown for the "Weather and Time" widget

After some struggling, I managed to make all the four widgets also look acceptable with the , which is default on /e/OS.

Hope you folks using /e/OS appreciate that.

The point is that the is buggy and returns completely implausible widget sizes, on which one cannot rely when calculating the layout.

The will resize better on other launchers, but now they at least look acceptable with the .

On top, the Weather and Time widget that displays currently "mostly cloudy" weather for "Hamburg-Mitte/Ost". In the lower part of this widget, you see the forecast for the next nine days (fog & rainy). Below this widget, there is a weather chart showing the temperature, clouds, probability of rain and the dew point. A small yellow area indicates a warning (frost) between Sunday and Monday. On the bottom, there is a widget with a forecast for today, Monday and Tuesday (cloudy, fog, fog). On the very bottom there is a button labeled "edit". The issue is that the bliss launcher reports incredibly large widget sizes, that roughly seem to reflect the aspect ratio of the widget, but are far larger than the screen size. With this bug, it is impossible to properly inflate the widgets with more information once a widget is made larger. On #bliss, the widgets now always display the same information, but scale better than before. Especially some font sizes are larger to improve readability. On other launchers like Trebuchet, the #lineageos default launcher, the widgets behave different and like expected: they do not simply scale, but add more and more information to the widgets as they get more space.

The next version of will have a neat feature to show you the path of wind travel starting at your position / selected weather station.

The example shows the wind path within three hours (solid arcs), the dotted arcs indicate 15 minutes.

This path is based on the wind forecast data.

The time of wind travel and the size of the arc can be customized in the settings.

The perhaps biggest change is the switch to an in projection.

The weather warnings and the rain radar are more accurate now, and the map is more detailed.

Also, you now can (again) resize all widgets without an upper size limit. 👍

Fingers crossed that will build the new version without issues.

Dear contributors & users, please note that I moved the README.md translations in , , and into an "outdated" folder in the repository.

The reason is that the translations are highly outdated and miss about 2/3 of the current information available in the version.

If someone is willing to update them, you are very welcome!

Until then, they are now a little more out of visibility.

With the help of the community, I managed to heavily improve the geographic accuracy of the rain radar in .

I switched from WGS84 to a Mercator Projection (ESPG 3857), did a rewrite of the geo plotting code and exchanged the former map in favor of a static (with the same projection).

Now the underlying map, the warning areas and the rain radar fit perfectly together.

This also made the rain radar display even faster on legacy devices.
