I have recently upgraded my Moto G85 from Android14 to 15.
Since then I am not able to get values on the lockscreen widget. The widget is shown but no temp or alarm time and when I try to edit them, i gey a "no entry" sign as on screenshot.
What happened? Has a service been discontinued? Is it a permissions issue?

Google is bringing lock screen widgets (back) to Android with Android 16. Already available for the Pixel Tablet, they show dynamic info and let you interact with apps without unlocking. After some struggling, I managed to make all the four widgets also look acceptable with the , which is default on /e/OS.

Hope you folks using /e/OS appreciate that.

The point is that the is buggy and returns completely implausible widget sizes, on which one cannot rely when calculating the layout.

The will resize better on other launchers, but now they at least look acceptable with the .

Screenshot of three widgets of Tiny Weather Forecast Germany, like they appear in Bliss, the default /e/OS launcher. On top, the Weather and Time widget that displays currently "mostly cloudy" weather for "Hamburg-Mitte/Ost". In the lower part of this widget, you see the forecast for the next nine days (fog & rainy). Below this widget, there is a weather chart showing the temperature, clouds, probability of rain and the dew point. A small yellow area indicates a warning (frost) between Sunday and Monday. On the bottom, there is a widget with a forecast for today, Monday and Tuesday (cloudy, fog, fog). On the very bottom there is a button labeled "edit". The issue is that the bliss launcher reports incredibly large widget sizes, that roughly seem to reflect the aspect ratio of the widget, but are far larger than the screen size. With this bug, it is impossible to properly inflate the widgets with more information once a widget is made larger. On #bliss, the widgets now always display the same information, but scale better than before. Especially some font sizes are larger to improve readability. On other launchers like Trebuchet, the #lineageos default launcher, the widgets behave different and like expected: they do not simply scale, but add more and more information to the widgets as they get more space.
