Really had an amazing day at #FOSDEM today. The #LinuxOnMobile stand was absolutely *heaving* all day (as were our neighbouring @postmarketOS and @calyxos stands) even after all the other stands had left.

So much interest in #AsteroidOS, #SailfishOS, #Mobian and @linmob So great to see so many new and familiar faces.

My only regret is that I didn't get to go to any talks. I'll have to set aside two weekends to watch all the videos!

I just found out that there will be a SailfishOS hackathon—#Sailathon24—at the Školící centrum Silicon Hill in Strahov, Prague, from September 27 to 30. Hopefully, I can join with #Amazfish, #PinePhone 📱, maybe #NemoMobile, or #AsteroidOS. Let me know if you plan to travel there.

What is the current state of NFC on linux?

I want to write an HCE application for Asteroid and potentially other mobile linux targets but am having trouble finding information on where to start.

What toolkits should I use? Should I make my APDU handler a little library? Should provisioning be in that library or somewhere else? How do I register an AID with the system? How do I shove APDUs back at the reader? Is any of this even possible yet?

If anyone knows anything about this please reach out.

My smart watch suddenly stopped working last year (not expensive, but not high quality either). Now I can't decide between buying

1️⃣ an open-source that has more features, supports apps and is easily programmable, but also costs much more and could turn out to be low-quality too,

2️⃣ a high-quality watch that has all features imaginable but isn't supported by . Flashing could break some functionality & the “ease-of-use”.

What should I buy?

Ich hatte mir vor >1 Jahr zum Spielen mal eine Huawei "sturgeon" Watch geholt, um darauf #AsteroidOS aufzuspielen. Allerdings scheiterte es an der USB-Verbindung. Ich habe das Dockingdings mal an den Pins durchgangsgeprüft, alles ok.
Ich habe es sofort bei Ebay als "defekt" reklamiert, weil die USB-Verbindung nicht ging. Ich bin gescheitert, weil man mir erklärte, daß das Ding ja gehen würde. *rolleyes*
Lange Rede, kurer Sinn: Braucht jemand so n Sturgeon? Vielleicht als Ersatzteil?
