US-BLIGHT ON THE WORLD

The #Trump administration brings something important to mind, namely that the #US is a negative force in the modern world. It stands in the way of growth and fair societies everywhere.

No matter who is in charge, its global policies are imperialistic, interventionist, Neoliberal, and brutal. It is also the number one slaughterer of civilians in other countries since 1946. Further it betrays allies, violates international law with impunity, and breaks any agreement it signs.

When you think about it, the only country that needs the US is #Israel. The #US is mainly just a leech on the world and people everywhere don’t really need what it provides.

Boycott it. Kick its military out

Don’t send products to it, don’t invest in it, don’t start factories there, don’t send expertise to it, and don’t buy anything from it. Total boycott of the US is the best hope for the future

New here! I’m interested in the buy and use eu movement.

A lot of tech products have been pretty easy to switch. The challenge for me has been phones.

Apple and iOS are really American, android phones less so. What I’m really interested to hear is if there is a European based operating system for phones or computers? I presume something like this would be incorporated into current android devices.

Okay this might be a dumb question but is there a way to "degoogle" a #Google smartphone (a Pixel 6a)? It was a gift I received about two years ago and I don't buy new hardware as long as the old one still works. Unfortunately, I'm rather inexperienced when it comes to software stuff and I'd require a step-by-step guide (English or German) if it's possible at all :)

Buy European is not that easy because almost everything we can buy is produced out of Europe.

By example: I am looking for a new powerbank to charge phones.

I wrote to a lot of European companies but they all answered me their products are made in China.

Man muss nicht unbedingt vollständig auf amerikanische Produkte verzichten, man muss nur dafür sorgen, dass sie so wenig Daten und Geld wie möglich von einem bekommen. Ein #Adblocker wäre schon mal ein Anfang.

Waving national flags. Even from another reactionary country. The new right doesn't even bother to spread “EU first” bullshit. That will probably help, just “all against all”. Nationalism, chauvinism, arrogance. I don't see what could possibly go wrong. Since European means of production are inconveniently located in China, I'm curious to see how this “don't buy from foreigners” doctrine will be implemented. I hope it goes down quickly.
