Today, I created Stormoji—a daily, shareable word game that uses emojis to spark creativity and storytelling.
This idea has been sitting in my notebook for a while, but thanks to my new AI dev assistant (Aider/Claude), the barrier to execution was finally low enough to bring it to life.
Mondegreen is the word that describes a misheard lyric. We really could do with a word that describes a misseen emoji.
My current misseen emoji is the one which is supposedly for a wave .
Of course, it is really a pale blue, full-face motorcycle helmet.

Can any of my artistic followers make a burning CyberTruck emoji for our server? I feel like we need one lately.
Bonus points if it's queer fire.
I love how everyone develops their own vocabulary of #emoji to use in reactions and so on.
Handshake #emoji between human & robot hand when?!
@gdr Hoping to encourage packagers, I just added a bit more documentation about building #Xmoji
https://github.com/Zirias/xmoji/commit/fb67444a47c17e893f213f84eb014bd71f3410f4
@gdr So you're looking for some #emoji picker to work with #X11? Allow me to suggest my own pet project, #Xmoji!
https://github.com/Zirias/xmoji
X11-only, minimal (IMHO) dependencies, no "toolkit" and plain C implementation. It doesn't need to call any external tools like x11-emoji-picker does. I also intend to resume work on it, a few features are still missing.
In case you like it, I'd appreciate contributions, like for example new translation files, or some package builds (currently only #FreeBSD, #NetBSD and #NixOS exist).
I love how a lot of Québec people used the flag of Martinique
to refer to the former as an emoji, because the flags were similar.
Now, they are quite different and major vendors have updated the design… making the conversations actually weird.

Québec, like every province and territory, has an official unimplemented emoji:
This is the ideal emoji. You may not like it, but this is what peak expression looks like.
