Aside from #MamoroOshii more or less teasing a 3rd #GhostInTheShell #movie, we've also got a teaser for the new #AnimeSeries by #ScienceSaru! (That was in production for some time but that I completely forgot about until now. 😅)
I LOVE how the style is very strongly inspired by the original #manga by #MasamuneShirow - I love the 1995 movie, but what REALLY got me into the fandom was the manga, so I'm actually very excited about this! 😃

Ich LIEBE, wie sich der Style sehr eng an dem Original-Manga von Masamune Shirow orientiert - ich liebe den 1995-Film, aber so wirklich, WIRKLICH ins Fandom eingestiegen bin ich mit dem Manga, also bin ich tatsächlich sehr gespannt darauf! 😃

I don't think Ronan Harris was inspired or influenced by Innocence when he wrote Darkangel. It's just that the song uses the imagery of a fallen angel, and because that is largely what Milton's Paradise Lost is about, there is this link with the Ghost in the Shell movie.

The shape of the airplane's wings and the cathedral-like buildings on Etorofu reinforce the reference.
After all, Togusa is quoting from Paradise Lost to express his reaction to the scene they are confronted with. And the makers of the movie have him do this because they want us to realise this connection.

Whenever I listen to VNV Nation's Darkangel, I see before me that scene of Ghost In The Shell 2: Innocence where Batō and Togusa descend on Etorofu in a plane that seems to have the wings of a fallen angel.

And Togusa quotes from Paradise Lost:

"His legions-Angel Forms, who lay entranced. Thick as autumnal leaves that strow the brooks."

Batō rejoins:

"Now you're quoting Milton? But we're nae Satan."

Ghost In The Shell: in arrivo il sequel del film.

In una recente intervista il regista del film originale #MamoruOshii, ha affermato non solo di voler realizzare un sequel della storia ma che potrebbe anche essere già in corso.
Oshii ha dichiarato quanto segue: “Ho iniziato a lavorare a un terzo film. C’è solo una cosa che ho lasciato incompiuta. Se posso farlo, voglio farlo. Se dico troppo, non sarà ciò che doveva essere“.
