Vor einigen Tagen war ich auf einer kleinen lokalen öffentlichen "Retro-LAN"-Party nördlich von Hamburg. Das hat großen Spaß gemacht. Ich habe für die Veranstalter ein kleines Video gebastelt, dass ich gern einmal mir euch teilen möchte.

If you have say a #VPN accessible #LAN inside a #VPS or the #cloud and you've got control over name resolution and certificate authorities, you can use #Mastodon, #Matrix, #PeerTube, etc as an internal organizational tool.
It might be seen as overkill, but if you want to use ActivityPub as an internal messaging and communication method, you can pretty much set up whatever platform suits your need.

I'm planning to use #Syncthing for a buddy #backup system. For that there will be two tiny PCs, each having a 1-2 TB drive with two equally sized #partitions. Each will contain a file system. One of them will be accessible through SMB and/or FTP to the #lan The contents of the shared partition will be synced encrypted to the other PC using Syncthing. For connecting the two PCs, I'll use #tailscale This should work, - at least I hope.
You might just notice, there's one todo left before continuing (see in the picture).
Does anyone have a clue as to why three Ubiquiti AP AC-Pro would start behaving erratically at the same time? 
The firmware is up to date, all of the other (Ubiquiti) equipment in the network is up to date. No issues with wired connections.
(All three AP:s are on PoE, and the switches powering them are nowhere near max load.)
I have never seen Ubiquiti equipment behaving this way, and I've been using it for quite some time.

The latest #LM_Studio beta supports optional auto-unloading of #LLM #AI models using both a new #TTL setting and when switching models by #API. This is very handy for Apple Silicon where unified memory can be allocated to the #GPU but clients switching large models led to memory exhaustion unless you manually unloaded at the command line each time.
If you use LM Studio’s #LAN API feature, turn on the app’s beta update channel to try it out. Works well for me so far!

I plugged a USB key into the Internet Box, formatted it, set up an FTP, and now I can send/receive stuff from all the machines with just a terminal/command line.
I love this old fashion method! :0)

" I have a strange block using my home ISP connection for #Nomad network. Virgin Hub 3.0 is blocking Reticulum data. Enable #DMZ to laptop and it works fine. Disable DMZ again and it still works ! Disable #firewall and it stops working ! Very weird. Connection via phone #hotspot works all the time... Any ideas as to what the problem could be ? "
