I’m torn between a <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/GooglePixel" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GooglePixel</span></a> or <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Fairphone" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Fairphone</span></a> with <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/GrapheneOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GrapheneOS</span></a> / <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/CalyxOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CalyxOS</span></a>. Bonus points if I can dual boot Linux, or likely install it in some years!</p>
Taylan (Kemalist Turkish Cat)I wonder if there's any <a class="hashtag" href="https://fedi.feministwiki.org/tag/gnu" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#GNU</a>/Linux or <a class="hashtag" href="https://fedi.feministwiki.org/tag/bsd" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#BSD</a> distribution out there that's relatively modern, stable, and well-maintained, and also not taken over by political nonsense?<br><br>It doesn't have to be purely free software, though that would be a plus.<br><br>Maybe <a class="hashtag" href="https://fedi.feministwiki.org/tag/openbsd" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#OpenBSD</a>? I've used that before on a laptop (until ~10 years ago I think) and it was honestly OK, until my Firefox was so outdated I couldn't watch WebM that people began using in place of GIFs... OpenBSD doesn't seem to have a CoC, which is good.<br><br><a class="hashtag" href="https://fedi.feministwiki.org/tag/freebsd" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#FreeBSD</a> has a CoC but it seems acceptable, maybe. At least it lists "sex" alongside "gender identity" as two separate characteristics so it's not entirely brainrotten. It's the most popular BSD if I'm not mistaken, so may be interesting.<br><br><a class="hashtag" href="https://fedi.feministwiki.org/tag/netbsd" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#NetBSD</a> also always seemed quite interesting. Maybe I'll try that out for a change. Doesn't seem to have a CoC.<br><br>Other than that, <a class="hashtag" href="https://fedi.feministwiki.org/tag/pureos" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#PureOS</a> sounds like a good sensible fully free GNU/Linux-libre distro based on Debian so I might go with that I suppose. Can't find any CoC.<br><br><a class="hashtag" href="https://fedi.feministwiki.org/tag/dragora" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Dragora</a> is very interesting. It's been developed by one guy for years??? Not sure if it's gonna be as modern and well-maintained as some of the other options though.
