That gets me at least "AndroidRuntime: at Database 'signal.db' corrupted!.(:0)". Which gives me flashbacks, that's how I lost my <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/IRC" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#IRC</a> chat history with <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/Quassel" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Quassel</a> ages ago, also a corrupt <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/sqlite" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#sqlite</a> database. And that lead me to switch to <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/Irssi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Irssi</a> back then.

Jani NikulaI've been using Quassel for IRC for quite some time, but its development seems to have ground to a halt. I'm considering my options. An IRC bouncer like znc? (I've used screen/tmux + irssi in the past, I'm not going back.)I first used IRC circa 1992-1993. All of this is really starting to feel quite arcane and tedious. Run a server or use a VPS to not miss out on discussions. Ugh.Ubuntu developers are switching to Matrix. To be fair it was due to the IRC protocol not forwarding through the proxy which is not ZNC's fault. But I like the Quassel mobile app more so moved back to it.Only odd thing with <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Quassel" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Quassel</a> is you can't do everything in the web client, so do need to use a desktop client to add new <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/IRC" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#IRC</a> networks and manage it properly.

Marcus AdamsSo <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Hexchat" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Hexchat</a> has this weird issue; at least on my <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Debian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Debian</a> system, where navigating user interface windows will make it randomly just crash and spit out an "X window" error. <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Quassel" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Quassel</a> seems to work pretty good though, and looks very similar to the Hexchat layout, so I'll probably stick with it.
