Hey @Snowman,
What's your familiarity level with #Reaper? I'm having a wierd issue with my left arrow key, that is exclusive to Reaper. I have all necessary extensions which make it accessible to those of us using #screen-readers. thie issue is:
When audio is not playing & I'm not in keyboard help mode, the left arrow seems to take me forward through my project, rather than back, as it should & states it will when I enable help mode.
I have the latest version of #jaws2025, along with the scripts you made installed.
How do you recommend I proceed?

Feeling thrilled and humble in equal measure to announce that I won the caption competition in the latest edition of the award-winning #Stage #Screen & #Radio' by #Bectu , the #tradeunion for people who work behind the scenes in the biz of show, and am now the grateful owner of a £15 book token which I will spend on my autobiography, when I've written it. And published it.

Here it is again in a shareable digital format for fans of #80s #TV.

This has been driving me nuts...

In
#Windows, to #lock the #screen you do Windows+L.

In
#LinuxMint #Cinnamon, Windows+L opens up "Looking Glass".

To lock your screen in LinuxMint you have to do
Ctrl+Alt+L.

I'm sure whoever came up with this combination wanted to differentiate LinuxMint from Windows so they picked an entirely different
#keyboard #shortcut.

(Except
Ctrl+C, Ctrl+X, and Ctrl+V all work as you would expect.)

Fortunately, it's pretty easy to change the keyboard shortcuts.

It's just a royal pain in the ass to have to do so.

LinuxMint should have adopted the same shortcut that Windows uses. Especially to make things easier for people that migrate to Mint from Windows.

Okay, here's my big project.

My partner and I built a frame, transported it into our loft in sections, and then (mostly) assembled it (I still need to add braces on the legs). We had to remove the existing railing to do this, and we'll finally be finishing the trim around the opening once this is all done.

The goal? We'll be hanging a chain hoist from the center beam and lifting this 36", 220lb CRT television into the loft! I have a spot cleaned up for it already, and all my older consoles are standing by to be connected. I will also be lowering some of the other screens back down to make some room.

I have some smaller (32") CRTs up here already, but there's just no viable way to move a TV this large up an eight foot ship's ladder with nothing but muscle power. Luckily, I'm a tool-using maned wolf, and we had some extra lumber, so here we are.

I will hopefully have more pictures tomorrow!
