Found my first tick ever on my dog tonight, and I am mortified! Egad. I was able to fully remove the tick as evident in its crawling when I set it down. Egad x2. I treated the bite with rubbing alcohol and then packed it with antibiotic ointment. I image searched it and have determined it's a dog tick.

What more should I be doing?
